Plagiarism Policy
Authors are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity by ensuring the originality of their manuscript content. If the work or words of others are incorporated, proper citation or quotation must be provided. All submissions to the International Journal of Electrical Engineering and Sustainability (IJEES) are subject to plagiarism screening through Turnitin, an established online plagiarism detection tool. Manuscripts must demonstrate a similarity index below 25%, and any AI-generated content must be under 20%.
If plagiarism is detected during the peer-review or editorial process, the manuscript will be immediately rejected. Should plagiarism come to light following publication, the article will be formally retracted, and a notice of retraction will be published. Depending on the severity of the case, IJEES reserves the right to initiate further actions against the authors.
Retraction from Publication
In cases of confirmed plagiarism, IJEES may notify relevant stakeholders, including the authors’ affiliated institutions, funding bodies, and the original authors whose work has been misappropriated. The journal adheres to the guidelines and flowcharts issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) when addressing ethical misconduct and plagiarism complaints.
Complaints and Appeals
Authors and readers may submit complaints or appeals directly to the editor or publisher via email. Each complaint will be assigned a unique complaint reference number for tracking and follow-up purposes.
